Getting started
How does an AI trip planner work?
You tell Travvio where you are going, when, for how long, and who is travelling with you. Travvio combines that with your saved travel profile — how you rate museums, food, nightlife, outdoor activity, pace and budget — and generates a structured, day-by-day itinerary. Activities are grouped by neighbourhood so you are not crossing the city twice in a day, and each day comes with a map and suggested timings.
How long does it take to generate an itinerary?
Usually under a minute. You answer a short set of questions once, and the full day-by-day plan is generated in one pass. Editing afterwards is instant and does not cost anything.
Do I need an account to use Travvio?
Yes. An account stores your travel profile so every future itinerary is personalized, and it keeps your past trips so you can revisit or re-use them. Signing up takes about thirty seconds and includes free credits to generate your first itineraries.
Is Travvio free?
You get free credits when you create an account, and each credit generates one complete itinerary. Editing an existing itinerary and asking for hotel recommendations are free. If you run out, additional credits can be purchased at any time — there is no subscription.
Your itinerary
Can I edit the itinerary after it is generated?
Yes. Every day, activity and note can be edited, reordered or removed, and edits are free — they do not use a credit. Most people generate a plan, then tweak a couple of days to fit flight times or a dinner reservation.
Does Travvio book flights or hotels?
No. Travvio plans the trip rather than selling it. It recommends hotels that match the brands and loyalty programmes you already use, and you book directly with the hotel or your preferred travel site.
Can I share or export my itinerary?
Yes. Any itinerary can be emailed to yourself or to travel companions as a formatted, readable plan, so everyone on the trip has the same day-by-day schedule.
How accurate are the recommendations?
Recommendations are generated by AI and reflect widely documented places, opening patterns and neighbourhood geography. They are a strong starting point, not a live booking system — always confirm opening hours, ticketing and seasonal closures before you go.
Personalization and privacy
What makes Travvio different from a generic itinerary template?
A template gives everyone the same blank grid. Travvio starts from your preferences and the specific destination and dates, so two people asking for the same week in Rome get genuinely different trips — one leaning towards galleries and long lunches, the other towards markets, walking routes and late nights.
Can I plan a trip without picking a destination?
Yes. The "Take me anywhere!" option picks a destination for you based on your travel profile and then builds the full itinerary for it — useful when you know you want to go somewhere but not where.
What do you do with my travel preferences?
Your profile is used to personalize your itineraries and nothing else. We do not sell personal data. Full details are in our privacy policy.
